Great NYC Day Trip Suggestion: The New, Innovative High Line Park

The High Line just opened this week after years of planning and development in NYC. The High Line is an innovative concept designed to convert an existing, yet no-longer used, elevated railway on the western part of the Chelsea neighborhood into a public park.

The park is filled with innovative architecture and beautiful elevated views of the West Side, from the Chelsea section (mid-20's streets). The first part of the The High Line is now open, with the second part to be completed by 2010.
