The High Line just opened this week after years of planning and development in NYC. The High Line is an innovative concept designed to convert an existing, yet no-longer used, elevated railway on the western part of the Chelsea neighborhood into a public park.
The park is filled with innovative architecture and beautiful elevated views of the West Side, from the Chelsea section (mid-20's streets). The first part of the The High Line is now open, with the second part to be completed by 2010.
